UPDATE: November 23, 2006 FIDDLER'S amputation surgery went well yesterday, and he is up and running around. Hopefully he will have a speedy recovery! Thank you for all your continued thoughts and prayers for this lspecial little boy.
Update 9/20 - Fiddler was examined by the orthopedic surgeon and it was determined that there is nothing that they can do for his knee. The surgeon feels that with Fiddler being only around 7 months old, that he was either born with his leg this way or the knee somehow got damaged at just a couple months of age and as he grew, the twisted knee only strengthened in that twisted position. Unfortunately, the recommendation is to have his back right leg amputated. Please keep this sweet boy in your prayers.

Fostered in Texas -
9/15 -Fiddler came from a shelter and long story short, no one was interested in him when his adoption date came available. Fiddler has a very bad back right leg - that is probably why he didn't have people beating the doors down to adopt him. The vet said that he has a grade 4 luxating patella, which is so hard to believe since Fiddler is only around 7 months old. He doesn't walk on it nor does he rest it on the ground. He pretty much keeps it tucked under him. We have no idea how his leg got so bad.
We are praying that the orthopedic surgeon can save Fiddler's leg and it not have to be removed. He goes in next Tuesday for a free consultation to see if it can be saved.
