My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sage has been homeless for over nine months! She was found as a stray in May of 2010 and never reclaimed by her owner. Many dogs with extended stays at shelters are humanely euthanized, but because of her sweet disposition, Sage was spared. Unfortunately she just wasn't getting any serious inquires. Despite being a favorite of many shelter employees, Countrydogs felt that Sage had been in confinement long enough (nearly half of her life), and she is now with us! She LOVES people and toys, gets along great with dogs of every shape and size, does very well around cats, and has a submissive side to her personality. She knows how to sit, lay down, look cute, and is learning how to live a normal life in a loving home. She has not been around small children, but we have no reason to believe that she will not score high marks with them. All dogs rescued by Countrydogs are special to us, but Sage may be in a class by herself due to the fact that she has made it this far!
