Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Please note: This kitty is a courtesy posting for an Independent Rescuer in our area. If you are interested in this cutie we encourage you to contact Marla directly at 517-548-1780. Or feel free to send her an e-mail at msswartz@chartermi.net
Please also be aware that all of our cats and kittens will only be adopted out to homes which do not plan on having them de-clawed.
If this is something you feel is important, however, we do have quite a few cats that come into the rescue already de-clawed by their former owners. These guys and gals are of all ages, cuddly and very affectionate. We would overjoyed to put you in contact with them if you are at all interested.
This is Grayson, he’s 11 months old, a real sweetie. He came into the pound with his sister, Bella. She looked like him but had peach mixed in spots. The pound spayed her, she died the next day…..they said complications from the spay. They came in and she was dead in the cage. Grayson had been separated from her the day after they took them in at the pound even though we asked if they could please stay together since they were inseparable. Always playing with each other, sleeping with their heads on each others backs.
Grayson was put in a cage across from her, but not directly across. He’s reach way out of the cage when anyone would go by, he was so desperate for attention. When Bella died, Grayson immediately took ill, he was so sick in the pound. For four weeks he was ill, they thought the upper respitory disease would be it for him. That he would die there also, he had such runny eyes and nose, we worried that he didn’t have the heart or the energy to beat it. I’d go in and see him a few times a week, it was heartbreaking. Two lovely long haired, playful young siblings get surrendered together. Just dumped at the pound because their owners had too many cats and still continue to fix the cats. Bella was gorgeous and they were very happy siblings. It was a sense of “what a waste” of these young lives to see both cats go down like this.
Finally Grayson turned a corner, he started to heal and was brought back out in front into the healthy cat population. Only one day out in the adoptable area of the pound…….he started to fail again and was relinquished back to the back room with the other sick cats for a longer period. He had been in the pound for nearly two months.
The first day he was back on the floor, I pulled him out immediately. This was not a place a kitty like Grayson or his sister ever deserved to find themselves in. Bella gave her life in there, either a spay gone wrong or something else happened to her but when the staff came into work the day after her surgery, she was dead in her cage.
Grayson deserves a chance at a happy life. He’s a very playful, accepting sweet loving boy. Very outgoing and curious but he is very people oriented and interactive.
He is GREAT with other cats, great with kids and although we are not for certain just yet, we are confident he would easy accept living with dogs. He’s a healthy 11 month old male who’s neutered, up to date on all his shots, including a Feline Leukemia shot, he’s micro chipped and ready to have a loving family of his own and be happy ever after with them. If you would like to meet this amazing young boy, please contact us at either msswartz@chartermi.net or 517 548 1780
