I’m a long legged, medium-size black male with a sweet personality. They call me Shine. I could use a few extra pounds as I’m on the skinny side but now that I’m through with racing, good premium chow, a few treats, and lots of TLC should rectify the situation. Regular grooming from someone who loves me will make my coat live up to my name. Who knows, you may find yourself living with a canine version of Sidney Poitier – I hear he is one handsome fella. While I’m not a demanding pooch, I would appreciate my own plush doggie bed, squeaky toys, and marrowbones to gnaw on once a week from the local butcher. I hear they are delicious and will keep my teeth in good shape. Most of all, I’m looking forward to just being a dog that can run and play, toss toys, and receive loads of love from my new family.
Shine is now 3 and has been returned through no fault of his own, but due to a change in family circumstances. He get along well with other dogs and children. His cat status is "with work"...he shows some curiousity, but no aggression- he simply has never been around cats before and didn't know what they were. With work he should be fine.
