My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dixon, a 4-year-old, neutered male with the most beautiful and expressive eyes. He has natural ears and a natural tail and is about 18 inches tall and weighs 18 lbs.

Hi! I was adopted from the pound 2 years ago to these really nice people. Since then I’ve been paper-trained but usually let you know when I need to go out. I was paper-trained because I was a New York City dog and my owners worked long hours. But when they are home, and I am walked on a regular basis I have no problem holding it in. I love to sleep under the covers and cuddle with people. I have a wonderful temperament and am very good with people of all ages. I get along really well with other dogs in the dog park; I like to play, but most of the time I mind my own business. I also love having friends over the apartment. Sometimes I get a little aggressive on the leash when I meet other dogs on the street, but that’s just because I want to play. My owners love me and deciding to find me a new home was very difficult for them. But they both have new jobs that do not allow them enough time to spend with me and they think that it is unfair to me. I'm going to miss them, but I know they are doing what is best for me. I’m filled with a lot of love and a lot of energy so I want to go to a home where I will not be left alone a lot and where I will have space to run around.
