UPDATED BIO 03-03-2011: Calie came into UYR with her ‘sister’ Molly; they must be adopted together. Calie is 7 ½ years old and weighs 4#, she needs to lose at least 1/2# to be at a healthier weight. She is being fostered in New Port Richey, FL. Here's what Calie had to say about herself today:
i everybody! I went to the dogtor last week and got all my shots; I also had a dental and they pulled 7 of my toofers - ouchie! They cleaned my 2 good teeth really shiny. I feel a lot better now cuz some of my bad toofers were infected and really hurt all the time. I feel so good that I do a happy dance all the time now! I stand on the floor, and tap my feet really really fast, kinda like I'm doing a doggie dandy dance - and I wag my tail - Foster Mom says I'm moving so fast that I look like a little blur on the floor. Lotsa people think I am a puppy and boy-oh-boy is that nice to hear as a middle-aged lady. I am pee-pee pad trained and I also go on the Potty Patch that FM bought - she says it’s the first time she has seen any of her foster dogs use it - aren't I smart?? My sister and I are really small and FM says we make sounds like little parakeets when we want out of our carrier....it makes FM smile and we love to see her smile. I lost a pound since I've been eating only my food and not my sissy's food anymore, but I still think I may be a Porky Yorkie, but I only need to lose maybe 1/2# to be healthier. I am not shy like my sister Molly, and I will bark at men cuz I'm afraid of them; but my Foster Dad is soooo persistent and keeps rubbing my belly and talking to me, so now I sit next to him and don’t shiver and shake any more. I like being with my FM and FD and would like to be with you if you would like to take care of me and love me. I will love you back. I am small but have enough love to fill a room.
PLEASE NOTE! Because of their small size, Calie & Molly can ONLY be adopted into an adult home, no children! Their perfect home would have at least one stay-at-home parent since they are used to being with their owner 24/7. Please do not apply unless your home meets the requirements that the girls need.
INITIAL BIO 02/06/2011: MEET CALIE! Calie came into UYR with her ‘sister’ Molly; they must be adopted together. Calie is 7 ½ years old and weighs 5#, but is chubby and needs to lose at least 1# to be at a healthier weight. She is being fostered in New Port Richey, FL. Calie and Molly were surrendered by their owner who has owned both of them since they were puppies. The girlies were loved very much by her, but due to her health, she could no longer care for them. They are precious little girls who seem a bit timid at first, but they haven’t been socialized much during their short lifetime. Calie will crouch down when the Foster Mom tries to pick them up, but once she is in her arms, she wants to kiss all the time. Calie needs a dental badly, and only has about 6 teeth left, but her breath is very bad so there may be something else going on in her mouth. Calie has several sores on her back, but hopefully it is nothing serious. She is more active than Molly at this time, but that may change as they adjust to their foster home and surroundings. Calie is pee-pee pad trained but she will go outside as well when taken. The girls will see the vet this week and start getting caught up on their vaccinations, and a dental will be scheduled at the same time. Stay tuned for more information as Foster Mom gets to know the girls better.

Their perfect home would have at least one stay-at-home parent since they are used to being with their owner 24/7. Please do not apply unless your home meets the requirements that the girls need.
