Here's what the humans have to say about me:
My name is Star and I am a Beagle mix. I am four months old (as of 1/8/11) and live with my foster mom and her two kids, but I am really hoping I find a forever home very soon. I had a rough beginning before I was rescued, but I'm still a very loving sweet very laid back girl. I have had surgery on my tail due to an injury so I have a very short cute little tail now, but that doesn't bother me at all and I certainly hope it won't influence your decision to adopt me!
I love when the kids sit and pet me or take me on walks outside. I am a bit timid when I meet new people, but I warm up very quickly. My foster mom has three dogs and a cat, and I get along with all of them, especially the cat; I think she is my new best friend. I weigh 17 lbs. (as of 1/8/11), I do very well in my crate and am on my way to becoming house broken as well!
Note: Using the estimate of "Generally, an adult dog will weigh about twice as much as he did when he was 4 months of age;" from http://www.peteducation.com/article.cfm?c=2+2108&aid=1068 , we would estimate this dog should weigh approximately 34 lbs. when grown.
