DO YOU WANT TO BE THE FAMILY THAT WILL GIVE MISTY HER 1 YEAR OLD BIRTHDAY PRESENT, A FOREVER LOVING HOME?
Misty Has Been Waiting For Her Forever Home Since January 2011.
Misty along with two litter mates were taken for a ride thinking their owner was taking them to play in a new area. WRONG! They were left at a deep ravine with down trees, heavy underbrush etc. without food and water on this very cold wintery day. They couldn’t understand why they were left that day. They were sure their owner would come back, and that’s why they all stayed. Their legs have grown weak, their throat’s parched dry. They were sick from hunger.
They heard sounds and voices and in their weaken condition they all made it up and out of the ravine, but it took awhile. They were very scared and did not know where to go. To their good fortune, a couple of elderly ladies noticed the three pups and immediately went to get them food and water. They told us all three pups were nothing but skin and bones. Very cautiously the pups went to the food and water, ate all the food and drink the water. They were so exhausted, all three fell asleep and slept for several hours. When they awoke there was more food and water available, closer to the front porch. Again, they ate the food and drink the water and fell asleep again. Next time they awoke up the ladies spoke to them in a very soft voice, showing the pups there is more food and water on the porch and also some very thick warm blankets. They now had shelter and could all snuggle together on the blankets during the cold, winter night.
The ladies agreed to foster the dogs and bring them into the house at night and keep them in their crates. The pups gain their strength and put on some weight. They were taken to the vet for their medical checkup, shots, etc.
All was going well, until one of the ladies started losing her eye sight. By then two of the pups had been adopted.
Misty was transferred and happy at a second foster home, until foster’s mom "mother" came for a long visit with her cats.
Misty had to be transferred to a third foster home. She is there with the foster family seven other dogs and several cats. They adore Misty but know she needs a forever home, hopefully with a large yard where she can run and play. When she is outside she is on a long lead line.
