My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

10 months old, 48 lbs - Foster Home Notes: Racer is a very well behaved boy who sits immediately upon command and will lick your hand then go to the door when he wants to go outside. He is very sweet and love to play fetch. He was very sad and confused when we first got him, as you can see in this photo. The first few days he was jumpy at every noise and still does not like fireworks or hammering but he has settled down and into our home. He gets along great with out three dogs and just has a very gentle soul. He needs someone to love him forever and ever and understand that there is an adjustment period for every dog when they go to a new home.

History: A homeless man watched as Racer spent 14 hours tied to a tree in front of the downtown library. He was freezing cold as darkness took over, the homeless man took Racer with him since it was apparent no one was coming back for him. This man took him to the shot clinic at Petco and got him a rabies vaccination and some food. The shelter would not allow him in with a dog so he and Racer stayed outside in the elements for over a week until he came to our adoption event and asked us to help Racer find a home.

Racer is now neutered, HW negative, has all vaccinations and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $185. Apply at www.forgottenpaws.com
