My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Zebulon NC: Stanley is an awesome approx. 7 year old Shepherd mix. He came from a local shelter years ago and after some time I found what I thought was the perfect home for him. Unfortunately, after 3 1/2 years he was returned to me due to the family (military) moving overseas. It was a sad day for him when they said goodbye as he was deeply attached to them, esp the children. But, I am hopeful I can find him a new home and family. One where he will be loved and never left behind again.

Stanley is an overall nice dog. He is mature, quiet, laid back and friendly. He is always eager to make new friends. He loves children, gets along with other dogs and cats. He loves car rides and snuggling on the couch and bed. He is also housetrained, fully vetted and hw negative. He does have a very good appetite which led to his weight gain in his former home. We are trying to get him to shed some pounds, but ultimately he needs a new family who will get him out for regular exercise.

Preference in his new home is a family who is around a lot therefore he is not alone for much of the day. And, a family that will include him in activities and trips.
