Arrival story:

A good Samaritan found Junior and his siblings in an abandoned house and took them in so they would have a second chance.

Approximate age / weight:

Approximate date of birth is Nov. 18, 2010 / weight is approximately 40 lbs.

Personality:

Junior is your typical pup. He loves to play and romp but he does settle down nicely. Junior is definitely a cuddler. He loves nothing more than to snuggle up on a lap even though he doesn’t totally fit on a lap! Like most puppies Junior likes to chew. For the most part he chews his toys but he is easily redirected when he starts to chew on something he should not.

Junior is doing exceptionally well with potty training. He is beginning to go to the door when he needs to go outside. He sleeps through the night in his crate without any accidents.
In his foster home Junior lives with three other senior dogs. He very much enjoys having canine companions. He also lives with two children ages 3 & 5. He loves to run and play with the kids but can also be caught laying down for a rest with them.

The good Samaritan who rescued these puppies had a DNA test done so she could determine the breed. The DNA test came back: 25% Rhodesian Ridgeback, 25% Belgian Tervuren, 25% American Bulldog, and the other 25% is mixed breeds.

Forever home:

Junior would love an active family that will play with him. Along with a home with lots of toys! He would especially love a canine companion. Puppies are cute, but please remember, they are a lot of work and will need training and proper socialization to ensure they grow into well-behaved adult dogs.
