Sissy is a 71/2 year old spayed female. She weighs 40 pounds. She is not fat, just big for the breed. Sissy was rescued the first time from deplorable conditions. She was being kept outside in snowy, sub-zero temperatures in a flimsy wooden crate with wet bedding. She was underweight, bloody from recent fights and looked terrified.
She has lived with her rescuer for the past three years. Sissy has become very dog aggressive over the last few years and needs to be an only dog. She does get along with cats. Sissy is great with people except she is often frightened of men. She can now make friends with men slowly and is able to do ok with them. She would be fine with older children. She has never been aggressive toward people. She is a "nervous Nellie" in new situations. She is completely house broken and uses a dog door to let herself out to the yard to do her business. She frequently sleeps on the bed with people. She will go get a toy out of the toy box and bring it to you to play. She is very loving. She is very athletic and loves to go on walks.
Sissy's perfect home would be one where she could be your "one and only", where you would take special precautions to keep her and other dogs safe, and where she could go for daily walks. She must go to a home with NO other dogs.
If you believe that you can offer Sissy a wonderful home please contact Patty at 208-324-7406. Sissy is currently living in Jerome, Idaho.
An adoption fee of $50 will apply - money will be donated to local rescue group.
