Arrival Story: Hi there, I’m Hoke. My friends also call me Hokeyman, Hokey Pokee, Hokey Dokee, Okee Dokee, and the list goes on and on! I was found as a stray and taken to a rural shelter. Thank goodness Faithful Friends stepped in and brought me into foster care.
Age / Weight: Approximately 4-1/2 months old and 15 pounds.
Personality Description: Since I’ve been in foster care, my foster family has determined that I love to play, play, play. Believe it or not, although I’m still a little guy yet, I love to hang out and play with even the big dogs, especially a pal of mine who is a Great Dane/Shepherd mix! Nope, I am not intimidated by his size because I’m a "rough and tumble" kind of guy. After a nice round of play or going for a walk where I get lots of "sniffs" in, I settle down real nice for my foster family. I very much enjoy chewing on a good bone, or playing with my toys. My foster mom is amazed at how quickly I picked up on their routine. She brags to everyone about what an extremely smart boy I am! I’m even doing fabulous with crate training too and can be left up to four hours without incident (I even go to the door when I have to go outside to do my business). Oh, and did I happen to mention that my foster mom thinks I’m just the most lovable and handsome boy ever? She especially loves the little freckles on my little nose.
There are also house cats in my foster home and I am very interested in becoming friends with them. I follow them slowly and if they run, I like to run too .... I'm really curious, but not a bit aggressive towards them.
Ideal Forever Home: To be determined, more details coming soon.
