My story

OK, so Alfie is not exactly a purebred beagle, BUT, he is absolutely one of our LTL (Lab to Leash) retirees! Alfie has spent his entire life in a research facility and never ended up being used for any studies! We thought that still qualified him for retirement with us, and we made an exception to help this special dog get a second chance at life. :) Per Alfie: I am a very sweet boy but new people and things make me nervous so I will need a very patient owner to help me build my confidence. I am totally housebroken and crate trained. I'm looking for a quiet forever home without young children. I love the other dogs in my foster home, and really need to be in a home with at least one other dog (maybe two!). I'm also very good with the two cats in my foster home. I love to play with toys and entertain myself, as well as run around the yard with my beagle foster brother! I'm kind of a loaner when it comes to people, though. Women are definitely my preferred gender. :) But with some love + patience I'm sure I will learn to be comfortable and affectionate. ALFIE IS BEING FOSTERED IN CONNECTICUT.
