Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Arrival Story: Bowie, a purebred MINATURE Australian Shepherd was originally an owner surrender due to his energy.
Age / Weight: Bowie is approx. 3 years old and about 25-30 lbs., although he could stand to lose about 5 pounds.
Personality Description:Bowie is a happy boy who loves to play. He is a high energy boy who loves to play, play, play - frisbee, ball, whatever game you can come up with. He loves other dogs and people alike - anyone willing to play with him. He is crate and potty trained.
Ideal Forever Home: Bowie needs a home with a person/family familiar with his breed and breed tendancies. He needs to have room to run and play. He needs a higher energy home, where people are home more than gone because being an Australian Shepherd, he needs lots of mental and physical excerise. He would make an awesome agility dog as he is so easy going and willing to please. He loves kids but like many herding breeds, will likely try and herd children. He has lived witha cat previously but liked to chase it so it would probably be best he go to a home without cats.
Because of his breed and personality, he will need a home with a physical fenced yard. He would not do well in an apartment or condo. Dogs of his breed don't do well cooped up and not being able to run. Absolutely no electric fencces for him.
