My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hanna came from a puppymill/breeder and is ready to have a life of her own.

She was very shy and skittish when she first arrived and it has taken several months for her to relax in her foster home. However, she does seem to improve on an almost daily basis. She is not much of a cuddler yet, but does love to have her neck scratched and will jump on me excitedly when it's meal time or when I come home.

Hanna is also amazingly playful. When she goes outside, the first thing she does is grab a toy. She especially loves squeaky balls, but really, just about any toy will do! She will run around with it and toss it in the air and catch it. She's really adorable :)

Hanna is a fairly dominant dog, but has settled in very well with my much larger crew of 3 large female mutts. She also loves to play with my male Shiba. I think Hanna would do best in a home with at least one other dog of either gender.

Since Hanna is so shy, a home without small children would be best.

Hanna has basically no leash walking skills at this time. She is very nervous when outside in the front of the house, though she is great in the fenced backyard. I believe with a lot of patience Hanna could walk on a leash, but great care would have to be taken so she wouldn't get frightened and slip her harness.

The adoption fee for Hanna is $200.
