Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Mouse (formerly Lyla) came into rescue a scared little girl; she’d been attacked by a big dog, and her leg broken, so she was very fearful. Now, she’s a happy, friendly, cuddly girl, who lives for contact with her people and brother and sister dogs! She’s about 2-3 years old, and is a petite bloodhound/redbone coonhound mix (about 50 lbs). She curls up into a tiny little pocket bloodhound in the bed and on your lap. She loves to play with other dogs and her people. She’ll run around like a top trying to get other dogs to chase her and play. She is extremely nimble, in spite of having had a leg broken in a car accident in her youth, and can cross a yard in a few leaps. She loves to run! She’s also a very alert watch dog, and will bark at noises with which she’s unfamiliar or which scare her (such as thunder, road work and other big noises). She chases the lawn mower and barks for all she’s worth, but she’s wagging her tail, wanting to play with the machine. She is a little shy sometimes with men, but she’s great with everyone, adults, kids, dogs, cats. She has a beautiful red, short haired coat that shimmers. She’s very easy to love and never asks for much but pets and kind words. She cannot be brought into a home with aggressive dogs, since she has been harmed by one in the past. She needs a gentle happy household. Mouse is being fostered near Tampa, Florida, and is very excited about finding her forever home!
