Maximillian ("Max") was surrendered to the shelter when his family was moving. At 6 years of age, poor Max was devastated to have lost the only family he had ever known. Although it appears that he was loved, his ears were covered with flea bites and he is very thin, so we think he may have been neglected for a while.
Now that Max is in his foster home, he is the happiest dog ever - his tail never stops wagging! He is calm and gentle, and follows his foster mom everywhere. He is a mellow and handsome guy, and gets along very well with the other dogs in his foster home. He does not, however, know how to play gently with cats and a home with no felines is recommended. Max loves to be petted and scratched, and enjoyed being brushed after his bath. He is fine with kids of all sizes, and would be a great addition to any family.
Max is neutered, crate trained, housebroken, and up to date on all his shots. H walks very well on a leash, and he is not destructive when left free in the house. He is an excellent dog, very willing to please, and his foster family can't believe how gentle and affectionate he is.
