My name is Lucky – but my name truly doesn’t represent my past. I ended up at the pound twice! Most pound puppies are only unlucky enough to end up there once – but for me… twice. The first time I had a chain around my neck that was imbedded and I had to have a vet’s help to remove it. The second time I was recovered from a drug house and brought back to the pound. Amazingly enough – I still love people! I guess I have a forgiving heart. I am so affectionate and just want a home to call my own – FOR GOOD THIS TIME. I do not need to be in a home with cats and would really prefer to be an only dog. I have lots of loving that I need to catch up on and hope I can find the right family for me. I’m a small lab mix and would be great in smaller spaces, like an apartment if that’s what you are looking for. I am about 5 years old – so I’m past all that puppy mess but still have lots of energy to go do fun stuff with you! I’m housebroken and crate trained. I would do best in a calm environment with people to love me. As you can tell I love to smile and I would love to bring lots of smiles to your face! Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN at our parent rescues . We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Maine area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly!
