Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Brando: Big Baby seeks Comfy Lap
When Brando was brought into the police station, everyone was sure someone would come to claim him. Not only was he 100% sweet and affectionate, he was also trained and already neutered. And who doesn’t love a boxer?
Each time the door to kennel would open, Brando would look up and wag his nubby little tail, hoping to see his family. But after a few days, Brando’s hope faded and he just lay in his cage. He seemed to give up. How desperately sad he must have been to realize that he’d never see his family again.
At the vet, Brando proved to be heartworm-positive. He’s been started on treatment and is expected to be fine. Could this be why he was abandoned? Did his family decide he wasn’t worth the cost or effort of medical care?
Luckily for Brando, we know he’s worth it! And he thanks us by gently putting his great big head into every lap he sees.
About our big, sweet boy:
• ~6-year-old brindle boxer; neutered; has shots; 56 pounds (needs to gain); has received his first heartworm treatment and will get 3 additional treatments over the next 3 months (this poses no danger to other dogs)
• Well mannered and trained, Brando is a 100% sweet and gentle lap dog who’d be great with kids! He’s truly an expert snuggler!
• Special needs: Likes other dogs but his play can turn too rough. For this reason, Brando needs a home where he’s the only dog. Brando is a fence-jumper! He needs to play in a yard with a high fence, or needs to be walked on a leash or let out on a run.
