Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Henry: Lots to be Thankful For
Henry was only 8 weeks old when two horrified passers-by saw a group of teenagers shoving and tossing the tiny pup in the air—all the while laughing as if the torment were some sort of game.
Even though the witnesses were only teenagers themselves, they stepped in and rescued the traumatized pup, giving him the first taste of kindness he’d ever known.
Henry was rushed to the emergency clinic. Luckily, he’d suffered no physical effects from his ordeal. And after all he’d endured, the forgiving little pup was more than willing to give us humans another chance, and wanted only to snuggle in his rescuers’ arms.
Sure enough, Henry quickly put the ordeal behind him and went about the business of being a puppy—playing with his foster dog- and cat-siblings, giving sloppy kisses to everyone he meets, and tilting his head from side to side whenever he hears his name. In true border collie fashion, he thinks it’s his job to herd his animal companions—something they view as a wonderful game.
What Henry needs now is the ultimate reason to be thankful; a forever-home where he’ll know only kindness and endless love.
About our Little Snuggle Muffin
• ~4-month-old border collie-mix; neutered, has shots; microchipped; 40 pounds (will probably be a BIG boy)
• Almost completed house-trained, sits for treats, trained to Invisible Fence and uses a doggy door. He’s a happy, fun-loving, energetic dog who loves everyone he meets—humans, dogs and cats.
• Henry will flourish with a family who wants a larger dog and understands his border collie nature. He’s very smart and active, and needs lots of play and positive stimulation.
