Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Zeebo was found tied to a car's mirror in a strip mall in Hazleton, PA. in Oct 2010. We searched high and low for his owner but did not find him. No one seems to be looking for this dog so we decided it was time to start looking for a new home.
When he was found he was very dirty and covered in fleas. He had some hair loss on his hind end which could have been due to a food allergy or possibly the flea infestation. He had a slight positive on his Lyme test and has received a Lyme vaccination & rabies etc. as well. Overall, he is in excellent health. We put him on a grain free diet and special supplements and his hair has completely grown back and his fur is beautiful!
He is about 4yrs old and very well behaved. He sleeps on the floor next to my bed curled up in a dog bed and is very quiet during the night. He is very attentive. He's shown a high level of devotion to me. I almost feel like I don't deserve such a high level of devotion since he has been here for such a short amount of time. I am sure he will bond quickly with a new family.
He loves going for walks and running around with the other dogs. He enjoys going in the car. He has lots of energy and loves to chase a ball around and play with his toys. He gets along with all 6 of the dogs in his group which range from a 5 1/2 lb Chihuahua to a 100lb Shepherd/Great Dane mix. We haven't cat tested him, but I think he would be fine with a cat who is not afraid of dogs. He eats his meals with the pack and I have not seen any food aggression. I really can't find anything wrong with this little guy. He really is a non-issue dog.
We're not really sure why he was abandoned since he is such a nice dog and is very sweet. We can only guess that his owner may have come on hard times and just didn't have the heart to bring him to the shelter. After getting to know him, I think I would have had a hard time, too if it had been me because he is just such a wonderful dog.
Please contact Barbara if you would like to meet Zeebo or if you have any questions about him.
