Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
UPDATE: Twister is a high energy, really smart, little boxer pup. He watches people's hands as he has figured out that is where treats come from. Show him a treat and he will sit (while drooling). Point to the ground with a treat in your hand and he has started to lie down (while drooling). Shake a cookie container and he will come running (while throwing drool with each puppy leap). His youngster antics, body structure and mannerisms lead us to believe that he is most likely less than a year old, as opposed to between one and two years. He is a young, high energy little guy who needs to learn manners. He can be mouthy at times but he can be easily re-directed and his behavior is immediately corrected. He is clearly eager to learn, and needs a home that is committed to investing the time and effort into training a young pup. Any home interested in adopting him MUST be willing to invest the time and effort into taking him to obedience training. He wants to do what is right, but needs someone to show him what that is. If you are that home, Twister is waiting to meet you (while drooling)!
Hi All, My name is Twister and I just blew into rescue from the Newark Humane Society. Thanks guys for taking such good care of me in Newark! I’m a little guy, about 40 or so pounds. I’m estimated to be between 1 and a 1/2 to 2 years old. I am brindle in color and I have a natural tail and ears, AND….I have the perfect “smooshed” in boxer face, just look at that picture! I’m also one energetic little guy. Maybe I’ll calm down a little now that I’m able to stretch my legs more and get to run and play and burn off some of my energy.
The people at Fassa’s Friends don’t know much about my past because the humane society found me roaming on the street. They do know I am a great smoocher, am happy to go on car rides and walks and look to people for direction. They have also figured out that I don’t seem to have been taught how to walk well on leash and need a home that will teach me not to pull and jump…but hey, I am young and oh so happy to be out of the shelter that I will learn really fast. Because I was found as a stray it is preferred that the home that adopts me not have very young kids, but bigger kids, say 10 and up are just fine. They also think that I would do fine in a home with or without other dogs, but I probably would not do well with cats.
If you think I am the right match for your home OR YOU WOULD CONSIDER FOSTERING ME UNTIL MY FOREVER HOME COMES TO GET ME, won’t you please contact Fassa’s Friends through their website at www.fassasfriendsboxerrescue.com or email at fassasfriends@gmail.com or call 856-889-0832.
