Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Panther! Panther came to Ohio from Missouri, after much discussion by the ESRA coordinators. Panther was the victim of human cruelty, and it nearly led to his being euthanized. Someone decided to try to turn Panther into a pit bull by cutting down his ears with pair of scissors. Panther clearly does not have the head of a bully dog breed. Based on the pictures that ESRA had at the time, it was thought that he might be a young field-bred Springer.
Panther is more likely a pointer. He has a really handsome build. He is a very athletic dog, and he is larger than a Springer, weighing about sixty-five pounds. Panther wants very much to please, but he is still trying to figure out how to do that. His youthful enthusiasm sometimes gets the better of him. His foster mom is working with him on clicker training, and he is picking up his obedience commands.
Panther's foster home is a multi-dog household, and he gets along well with everyone. He loves to run and play with the younger dogs.
Panther is up to date on his vaccinations. He is neutered and microchipped. He is ready for a home that will continue with his training and will give him the exercise that he needs.
If you think Panther is the dog for you, please contact us soon. He is ready and waiting for his Forever Home!
UPDATE, 9/7/10: Panther has come a million miles in foster care. He has learned to trust people and is now curious about everything. Panther has found his heart and has learned how to share it with humans. He is a happy boy now! The sadness and pain have left him, and he is ready to love and be loved. Please consider adopting Panther. He has a heart of gold and is waiting to be loved by his Forever Family!
