Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello, there! My name is Thumper, and I was given that name because my tail is always thumpin'! I am just a young pup, maybe three or four months old, and I'm looking for a home to call my own.
Just a few weeks ago I was lost, scared, and wandering the streets. Then someone found me and took me to a rescue organization. This was lucky for me because I was feeling pretty rough. See, I had lots of fleas, cherry eye in both eyes, and a staph infection on my tummy. Worst of all, my collar was embedded in my neck, making it hard for me to eat, breathe, or drink. Oh, boy, did I need help!
But after two surgeries I am feeling much better and learning what it means to by a puppy. Did you know that people love to play with puppies like me? And that they are always making little "ooh" and "ah" sounds when I'm around? Better yet, they love to hug and kiss me, and oh, boy, do I like to kiss and hug! So life is really looking up. Now if I could just find my Forever Home, I would be the luckiest pup in the world!
Love,
Thumper
From Thumper's foster mom: Thumper is a joy, and his sweetness and exuberance with life will instantly brighten your day. He is a typical Springer pup, smart, inquisitive, busy, and very affectionate. It appears that the first few months of his life were pretty miserable, but he seems to be harboring no grudges. He LOVES anyone and anything.
Thumper will be happiest in a home with a canine companion. He will also require a family who understands puppies and puppy behavior. He doesn't know his name yet, nor any commands, and so far he is not fond of his crate. But we are working on all this with him. Thumper also doesn't like to be alone and will express his sadness vocally when he can't be with you. He is very playful, goes a mile a minute, and requires constant supervision. He is at the age when boundaries need to be established. A commitment from his adopters to enroll Thumper in puppy obedience school will be mandatory.
If you need lots of love, kisses, and a daily dose of happiness in your life, then please contact his foster mom at the e-mail address below. Thumper would love to show you how wonderful it is to simply be alive!
