My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Monty, a very friendly and happy young man, looking for a forever home. Monty is a type A Rat Terrier who weighs in at only 10 pounds. Don't let that distinguished gray on his face fool you though, because he's still a young man at only 5 years old. Monty is a funny little boy who will brighten up a room the minute he trots in. He's a very social guy who has never met a stranger. Monty will greet everyone with a tail wag (or a nub wag, since his tail is docked) and will offer gentle kisses if someone bends down to greet him. He is a lot of fun and is constantly making his fostermom laugh with his silly antics. His foster family reports that he likes to show off his vocal abilities too! another video. Monty is great with children and loves to be around them. He is affectionate and loves to snuggle up with you - but is not at all clingy. He just enjoys being with the ones he loves. Monty is totally housebroken, is wonderful in a crate, but can be trusted to be home alone, without supervision. He is also very smart and listens extremely well; he really wants to please his people. He knows sit, down, high five and he's working on a couple more tricks that he's picking up quickly! Monty does fine with small and medium dogs but is not a big fan of the big dogs - although he's working on that; he may be best suited in a home without a large or dominant dog.
