Hello World! I am a 1 year old brindle colored bullie named Buster who is fantastic!!
I get along great with my bullie sister and brother, and the newest little lab sister, but don’t like my big lab brother. Who knows why?! I think it’s because he is so big! So with that said, I will only be going to a home where I can have a submissive sister or be completely by myself!! I have no history with cats.
I have met small kids, but my foster mom will only let me go to someone who has older ones because of my size and my ability to sometimes jump. 8 and up would be great by me! I like to do the good ol' JUMP and KISS combo!
I love to play with balls and nylabones, but cannot have anything like rawhide because I could choke on it!
I am on a low calorie diet right now because I am a little over weight, but I eat like a gentleman once I know the surroundings and understand that the food is for me. I eat next to my bully sister, but my foster mama watches me every step of the way so we don’t get jealous of the other one’s dinner.
At night I sleep in my crate, and when my foster mama is away I am also in there. It is my home and I feel safe in there and will wander into it even when she is home.
I have not chewed up anything in my foster mom's house, and love to sleep next to her feet when she is watching TV.
I am potty trained and can use a doggy door, but it may take a few days for me to get used to new surroundings and will have a few accidents. I’m only a baby for goodness sake! I am a blank slate and need my humans to teach me the ways of the world. I am all yours if you promise to love me forever!
I can walk nicely on a leash, but only when it is cool outside, I overheat VERY easily because I am a bully and CANNOT be left outside for any reason, ever.
On a side note, I am weary of new things, and do not understand a lot of noises. I do not bark at them all the time, but I do go sit in my corner of the kitchen when I do not understand something; I look at you scared if you talk to loudly or if I think I have done something wrong. I am a work in progress, so please do not look at me and see only a big beautiful bully. I will take a loving committed home to get me fully comfortable, I am not perfect nor do I claim to be, I just want a home that will love me in spite of my imperfections and be willing to love me forever. I will be required to take a training class with my new family so we can bond!
I am very healthy, and ready to start my new life with my new family!
A home visit and reference check will be done to make sure I am going to the most perfect humans in the world!
*****My adoption donation to rescue is $600.
You MUST fill out an application if you want to be considered for my home. NO inquiries will be returned without an application on file. We DO NOT adopt outside of Arizona, and we do not adopt to homes with more than 2 dogs.

Would you consider making a donation towards the rescue dog’s care?? Your donation will go towards their food, treats, toys and vet care. They will re-pay you with a personalized e-mail and big wet kiss!
*WHY ARE SOME DOG’S ADOPTION FEES HIGHER THAN OTHERS?
The adoption donation fees are based on age, health and needed vet care of the dogs we have taken in. The younger, healthier dogs help to pay for their cousins that need a little more TLC. You adoption donation fee also covers the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip of your new dog.
*CAN WE COME SEE YOUR DOGS?
All of our dogs are in foster homes around the Phoenix area. We require an application to be filled out, a home check to be done, and vet reference check to be complete before having you come meet the dog of your dreams! We will ONLY contact you when we have a potential match.
*I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DOGS WHO I THINK WOULD FIT MY HOME, BUT THEY ARE NOW ADOPTED. WHY?
We take a lot of time to get to know our dogs in rescue. Some are barkers, which cannot go into condos or apartments, some require companionship of other dogs, and some are not good with children. Each dog is unique!
*IS THERE A WAITING LIST OF APPROVED APPLICANTS?
YES! That is why even if you are not ready to adopt, get your application into us if you want to be considered for a future adoption.
*I AM LOOKING FOR A PUPPY OR VERY YOUNG BULLDOG.
Well, you have come to the wrong place. Rescue dogs on average are between 3 and 7 years old, we do not get puppies into rescue. We would, however, be able to refer you to a reputable breeder.
*BULLDOGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE! WHY?
If you are looking for a cheap bulldog by choosing rescue, need not apply! Rescue dogs are dogs that are going to need ongoing vet care, and a lot of love and training from their new humans. We only adopt to homes that truly want to RESCUE a homeless bulldog. This is not the place to find a “cheaper” bulldog.
*I HAVE AN APPLICATION ON FILE, AND HAVE CALLED A FEW TIMES, WITH NO RESPONSE.
We will contact you when we believe we have a dog that is a match.
Please remember: Not only are bulldogs adorable and cute, they are also high-maintenance and expensive! ☺
