My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annabelle is a beautiful, happy little Shih Tzu puppy of between 8 and 10 months old. She loves people, dogs, and cats alike. She is eager to please. While Annabelle wants to go with you all the time, she isn't anxious if left at home. She loves to be loved, but also loves to run with the other dogs and play with her toys.

Annabelle has never been around children under the age of 8. Because she does exhibit slight guarding issues with food and chewies (which is being worked on in her foster home) we wouldn't want to adopt her to a family with children under that age - old enough to understand that sometimes she wants her privacy. Annabelle was very good for the groomer who had to shave her down due to severe matting - however, after a while she wasn't overly thrilled when the groomer was working on her face.

Annabelle is being fostered in Chapel Hill, NC and her asking adoption fee is $400.

NOTE: Due to the volatile price of gas, getting multiple volunteers to help with long distance transporting is no longer feasible. We have listed the town and state where each dog is being fostered. Please consider how far you are willing to travel when filling out the application. The foster home will usually volunteer to help with transport for a reasonable distance.
