Here's what the humans have to say about me:
** If you are interested in adopting Snickers , please fill out our adoption application at http://farfels.com/farfels-rescue/adoption-form/ **
Snickers is as sweet as his name! This happy little guy is a 1-year-old, 9-lb Chihuahua mix with a heart full of love and a playful spirit that’s totally contagious. Snickers wiggles his body so much, and does more of a hop than a walk!
He was found as a stray in rural Texas and taken in by a small shelter, where he quickly stole everyone’s heart with his cheerful personality—even in the shelter, Snickers couldn’t stop wagging his tail!
Now Snickers has arrived to Colorado and is ready to find the forever home he deserves. He’s great with other dogs and loves to romp around and play, making him a fun companion for other pups. Snickers is also super social and adores people—he’s the kind of pup who makes fast friends wherever he goes.
If you're looking for a joyful, loyal little buddy who’s always up for a cuddle or a game of chase, Snickers might just be your perfect match!
We don’t know if Snickers has had any formal training, but a (virtual or in-person) positive reinforcement group training class will help him build confidence, bond with his new family, and master good manners. Training is essential for a successful adoption, and Farfel’s is happy to provide a list of recommended force-free trainers to set Snickers up for success.
Snickers has been fully vetted, is up to date on vaccines, and neutered.
Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
Farfel's Rescue has been doing adoptions this way since 2005 and is thrilled to adopt out ~400 dogs each year.
