Meet Eudora! This gorgeous purr box is finally ready for a home! Coming from a background of surviving outside for over a year, having a litter of kittens that was hard on her and them, Miss Eudora has come through and taken to house cat life beautifully!
This princess is shy but chatty and will talk to you quite a bit if she likes you and has warmed up to you! She absolutely LOVES scratches and rubs and can tolerate being picked up for a bit before signaling she's ready to get down. She recently started getting comfortable approaching people on furniture for pets, so she may yet become a lap queen! But never forget, she's proper royalty that loves being pampered.
Eudora greets all her favorite subjects by rubbing on legs and talking to you and purring so loud it'll be the only thing you can hear. She also makes sure her subjects are safe during all dangerous activities such as using the bathroom or opening sharp cans of food. But a princess can't be all work and no play and Eudora has been quite fond of playing with the other cats and kittens. She also loves a good box with some crinkly paper and little mice and she enjoys good catnip from time to time for a spot of relaxation. She’s still really nervous around dogs although we suspect if they are small more calm dog she will do better than with a big one. She's still getting used to playing and she’s bound to open up more for the right family!
This girl will need some adjustment time but has been taking meds well when she needs to, and she has never lashed out even when she's scared. She's a hider and prefers a quiet space to retreat to. She's also food motivated! She loves it all! She prefers to take treats from a bowl instead of the package or a hand. Again, she's a proper lady! If you love and treat her right, she’ll be your little greeter when you come home from work.
(Note for going to the vet: because she’s timid, she will need to be approached more slowly and deliberately or may have a fear response - take your time and she’ll be an absolute angel!)
Please see our rescue information for our adoption fees or email us at billythekiddenrescue@gmail.com.
‼️Help control the pet population - have your pets spayed or neutered! 💯

More about this rescue
🐾 Our Mission at Billy the Kidden Rescue 🐾
Billy the Kidden Rescue is a VDACS-registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 2014 and supported by a network of over 60 active foster homes across Hampton Roads.
Our mission is to improve the lives of displaced cats and reduce the feral cat population in our community by socializing outdoor-born and feral kittens—transforming them into loving, adoptable pets and placing them in safe, forever homes.
💙 Our Heart is in TNR
We are proud advocates of TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return)—the humane, effective method of managing community cats. Through this program, feral cats are:
✔️ Trapped
✔️ Neutered or Spayed
✔️ Vaccinated
✔️ Ear-Tipped (as a universal sign they've been fixed)
✔️ Returned to live safely in their outdoor colonies without contributing to overpopulation.
We are actively working to promote legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads.
🐱 Feral Kitten Socialization
Our feral kitten socialization program is one of a kind—with a 90% success rate in helping feral-born kittens become affectionate, in-home pets. Through experienced fostering, patience, and love, these kittens learn to trust, play, and thrive indoors.
💪 Get Involved!
We’re always looking for passionate animal lovers to join our team. Help us make a difference by becoming a:
Foster
Volunteer
Transporter
TNR Trapper
🎁 Support Our Work
Donations keep our rescue running, and we’re always in need of supplies! Check out our wish lists to see what’s needed most:
