Sailor is a big cat with a big personality. He is very vocal, very affectionate, and demands attention. If you’re sitting he wants to be on your lap and if you’re lying down, his face will be very close to yours. There is no personal bubble allowed. His fur is sleek and glossy and he has a beautiful face. His foster mom’s only concern is he has a tendency to bite when overstimulated. It’s about once a day, and not hard, but it would be a concern with young children. It seems to be defensive, usually when a hand comes in quickly in his peripheral vision and could also be because he’s frustrated at being cooped up after living outside. Hopefully, this behavior will go away now that he’s neutered and off the streets but it’s important to know right now. He’s 99% docile and sweet with a surprise now and then.
Sailor would like you to have lots of food for him. He has a big appetite and really loves wet food twice a day, and treats, and dry food. He gets along with the other cats in the house however he is definitely dominant and often bullies the other kitties in the house so he would do best as an only kitty. Sailor has been playing with an energetic, cat-friendly dog. Slow, proper introductions will be needed in his new home regardless. It’s unknown about kids, so again proper introductions, caution, and time would be necessary.
Sailor was born approximately November 1, 2023, and his adoption fee is $105, or adopt two and the second is half off. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations and deworming, is microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia virus. Come see this sweet boy at our adoption center this weekend!
