Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Gryphon, a handsome, young, Bombay boy with yellow eyes and a shiny, sleek coat. He is sweet, smart, playful and highly-social... could even be what some would call on the "needy" side - because he LOVES human interaction and contact.
Gryphon was rescued from a large colony, in Baldwin Park along with his brother Toby, when they were only around 6 months old. We suspect they were dumped because of how tame they were, begging for food at a house that had many cats indoors and outside. He contracted mange while out there and has been treated with a small patch of skin on his ear - that's still growing back in.
This boy is off-the-charts loving and also so gentle, you can sit him on your lap, like a baby and trim his claws. He'd do best in a home with at least one, other friendly young cat... who likes to romp, wrestle and chase. His favorite toy is the feather wand and the crinkle tunnel. Check out his adoption video and fall in L-O-V-E!!
You'll find his full rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #34 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including video and photo updates on all our cats and kittens).
Gryphon's adoption will include his:
* Neuter surgery,
* De-worming,
* Flea and mite treatment,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV = negative),
* and Microchipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making this cutie a permanent member of your household and will be keeping him safe indoors.
** We do not adopt out kittens or cats where they will be the only pet at home. Kittens rely on each other for emotional support and continued social and behavioral development. For example: another kitten or cat will teach them when they're playing too rough or biting too hard. Plus, cats and kittens get very lonely when you're not at home! Having a playmate will keep them happier, healthier and out of trouble. **We offer a discount when adopting a pair!
*** You can also find all our adoptables on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (including their rescue story, photos and video updates).
