My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Charming, Dapper, Social

This little gentleman is Orange Potato! He’s a true Van cat: bright white fur with a bold orange shoulder patch, an orange spot on his booty, and a perfectly striped orange tail and hat.

From the moment you walk in, Potato is ready to roll out the welcome mat — right by the door, giving the friendliest meows and asking for pets with zero hesitation. As soon as you start giving out scritches, he leans in and purrrrrrs. He leans in so hard he's almost knocked himself right over!

We let Potato out of his room to explore the halls of the cattery after we'd closed for the day. He stuck pretty close to us but when he wandered off, one call of his name and he’d come trotting back!

You’ll want to spend some time with him— Potato has a calm vibe, and lots of purrs. He’s an affectionate kitty, you’ll appreciate his company as much as he appreciates yours!

Orange Potato has tested positive for Feline Leukemia. FeLV is not a type of cancer. It's a virus that causes a weaker immune system and often a shorter life-span. For the most part, 'FeLVies' are just like any other cat. APA! waives the adoption fees of these cats, and provides FeLV-related treatment and support post-adoption. Orange Potato can only live with other FeLV+ cats, but dogs and other animals are just fine! Any questions? We'd love to talk with you about Potato’s care.

Orange Potato is ready to meet you! Come meet him and feel his love!

All APA! cats are fully vetted, spayed or neutered, and have updated vaccines and a microchip. Lifetime support is offered by our Cat Behavior Team.
