Solo is a black Standard Poodle with a big heart and a playful spirit. He’s great with other dogs, does well with cats, and is friendly with kids. He’s energetic, curious, and always up for fun, making him a lively and engaging companion.

He knows his basics and is eager to learn more—he just needs a bit of structure and a refresher on house training. Solo is smart and motivated, and he’ll thrive with consistent guidance. Solo also keeps his kennel very clean, so he will just need a refresher of house training once in a home.

Solo has a condition called sebaceous adenitis, which affects his coat. His hair may not grow back fully, but regular soothing or medicated baths can help him stay comfortable and healthy. He may not have the classic poodle curls, but he’s still every bit as charming and lovable.

Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $275+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
