Shade is a beautiful and friendly, happy, affectionate, and playful, two and a half-year-old, 50-pound, female black Flat Coated Retriever-mix looking for a loving guardian.

Shade loves people and gets along with other dogs, cats and children. She currently lives with another dog, four cats and a one-year-old child. She loves car rides and does beautifully on leashed walks.

Shade sleeps in a dog bed and is also quietly crate-trained. She can be shy and anxious when in a new situation, or when voices are raised in the home. She’s not at all aggressive, but she will cower.

Shade is very healthy, spayed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, and micro-chipped. Her adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. She comes complete with absolutely everything you need to care for her.
