Hiya Friends! My name is Athena and I'm a beautiful 1yr old female German Shepherd. I am located near Greeneville TN and will be available for transport.

Quick Facts:
Age - 1yr old
Home - home with a fenced in yard, no apartments or condos
Kids - will do fine with older kids (12+)
Dogs - good with large male dogs, no small dogs
Cats - NO cats
Training - needs obedience training

1. I am pretty new to the rescue. I came in completely emaciated and malnourished. My previous home did not take good care of me, thankfully IDGSR is making sure I'm a healthy girl.

2. Since I was starved at such a young age, my energy level tends to be more medium level than other German Shepherds my age. I'm pretty easy going.

3. I do well with other large breed male dogs and would love to have a friend to play with in my new home.

4. Even tho I had a bad start to life, I am very affectionate and friendly. I would love to bond to my forever person and give so much love and loyalty.

5. I would love to experience new things like car rides, pup-cups, adventures, walks, hikes, really anything as long as I'm with you.

6. If you are looking for a resilient, friendly, affectionate, smart, and beautiful new companion - I'm your gal!

***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION***
-ALL dogs are fostered in TENNESSEE unless otherwise noted
-We do transport dogs to the east coast; a transport fee will apply
-All dogs are up-to-date on vaccinations, heart-worm testing, monthly preventatives, & are spayed or neutered
-Puppies under 6-months of age will require a SPAY/NEUTER CONTRACT, a portion of the adoption fee will be refunded upon documentation of the spay/neuter
-An application must be submitted before scheduling an appointment to meet a dog
-Dogs are introduced to prospective adopters BY APPOINTMENT ONLY
-Due to the high volume of emails we receive, first priority will be given to those with submitted applications
-All rescue work is done by dedicated volunteers, please be respectful of their time
