Calling all German Shepherd lovers! Hello world, I'm Silas! I'm 2 years young and looking for a fresh start with a new family to love forever. You see, my owners recently passed away in a car accident – rest their souls - so I’m now under the care of a foster home who is taking very good care of me until I find my new family. I am friendly, a motivated learner – I really enjoy working beside and pleasing my person, I consider myself loyal, I like to be pet, and I’ve proven to be good with other dogs. I have some doggy friends here at my foster home who are tiny compared to me and we find fun games to play like steal-the-blanket-if-you-can or catch-and-keep-away with a tennis ball. I don’t mind sharing my toys and it’s fun to be off leash in the yard playing with my doggy pals. I can’t wait for my new family, and I know I will bond quickly with my new person as I'm really craving human companionship. I've been told I'm quite beautiful, even unique, with my one blue eye. I'm crate-trained, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, heartworm negative and neutered. I'm an energetic dog so my new home must be active and able to provide me with the mental and physical stimulation I need. I'm hoping for a home where we can do a lot of training together and outdoor adventuring. A home who has owned German Shepherds before and understands my breed is preferred as I’ve been told I’m a strong fella and very intelligent. A fenced in yard is required so that when we are not out adventuring together, I will have a safe place to stretch my legs and run - especially because I have a high prey drive. I currently weigh 67 lbs. but I have a bit of filling out to do so my ideal weight is a few pounds heavier. Well, that's me in a nutshell, but if you have further questions, please ask!
