My name is Emmett!

Emmett is a striking and spirited 9-year-old male cat with a strong personality and an independent streak. We’re looking to rehome him to an adopter who can provide a calm, pet-free environment where he can truly thrive.

What to Know About Emmett:

He does not do well with dogs and tends to be aggressive toward them.

He can be territorial and has shown a tendency to bite, especially when overstimulated.

He has scratched and torn carpet in the past, so a cat-proofed or more forgiving environment is a must.

That said, he can be playful and affectionate on his terms, and has a lot of character for the right person who understands feline behavior.

He would be a great match for someone experienced with more challenging cats, and who understands boundaries, body language, and the importance of a structured, low-stress environment.

He is currently an indoor/outdoor cat and could be very happy as a barn cat. He is a great hunter and an excellent mouser.
