Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tommy is a sweet, gentle, playful, cuddly and loving, five-year-old, nine-pound, glossy male brown tabby cat with green eyes looking for a loving guardian.
Tommy was given up by a family who no longer wanted pets after they had their first child. He is shy, but very gentle and does beautifully with other cats and dogs. He may let out a tiny hiss at first, but he’s never scratched or bit.
Tommy has perfect litter box habits and uses a scratching post. He has excellent hiding skills as well but comes out for snuggling, licking a churu, and rolling on his favorite catnip toys. Tommy doesn’t sleep in bed with you; I’m guessing he wasn’t allowed in the bedroom in his former home. But, he loves attention and will purr when given love. He doesn’t typically jump in your lap, but if you put him in your lap, he’ll stay for as long as you’ll let him. He’s a super snuggler.
Tommy is very healthy, dewormed, neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for distemper and rabies, and virus-tested negative.
To meet and possibly adopt Tommy, please fill out an adoption application https://friendsofpetraits.com/cat-adoption-application/
After the application is complete, please contact friendsofpetraits@gmail.com to schedule an appointment to meet him.
His adoption fee of $175 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue.
He is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
