My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Rocky!

A spirited one-and-a-half-year-old German Shepherd from Gilbertsville, PA, whose essence is a lively blend of boundless energy and tender-hearted loyalty wrapped in a striking tan and black coat.

This gentle giant-in-training is expected to reach a majestic 110 pounds, and his personality is already larger than life. Rocky is the kind of dog who sees the world as one big playground—plastic bottles become prized treasures, every ball chase is a thrilling mission, and a game of tug-of-war is the ultimate bonding experience. He’s also a big fan of the classic game of “chase,” and if you’ve got another playful pup in your home, he’ll be over the moon!

Rocky is incredibly bright and has received formal obedience training. He’s mastered an impressive set of commands, including sit, stay, come, leave it, speak, down, paw, and even high five. Despite his brains and brawn, he’s got a bit of a stubborn streak, which adds to his charm and keeps things entertaining—especially if you're a fan of using positive reinforcement and interactive training games.

Because Rocky is still so young, he’s learning about the world and what it means to feel safe and secure. He doesn’t enjoy being left alone and may cry if left for too long. A family that’s around often or has a flexible schedule would be a perfect match for him. He thrives with consistency, preferring early morning and late-night walks, and he absolutely needs a fenced yard where he can stretch his legs and let loose with zoomies.

Rocky is up-to-date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and fully house-trained. He’s a social pup who gets along beautifully with other dogs, making him a wonderful playmate. While we’re not sure how he feels about cats just yet, his open-hearted nature suggests he might do well with proper introductions.

This big-hearted boy would shine in a family with a large yard, plenty of time to give, and maybe even another dog to romp around with. Could your home be the next joyful chapter in Rocky’s adventure?
