My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jasmine is a Siamese breed Brown Tabby & White and she has gorgeous blue eyes. Her estimated birthdate is 3/13/2021 and she weighs about 11 lbs. She came into StreetCats on March 14 and she was immediately out and about, but then she found a place in a hidey hole. She has lived with other cats (Oshie and Tiny who has been adopted) but she’s also been around dogs. She is very sweet and loves to cuddle but her preference is to be the only cat in a new home. She has lived with older adults and has not been around children.

All cats have tested negative for FeLeuk/FIV and are current on rabies and FVRCP vaccinations. Jasmine has a Nano TriFi Microchip and her new family will need to register her themselves (info on Medical History) and there should be no fee. Adoption fee - $75; If 65 years or older Adoption fee - $65.

StreetCats is now located at 3105 S. Winston Ave. (one block west of 31^st & Yale) in Tulsa. We are open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. All people wanting to adopt must come into StreetCats and have all members who live with them come in also. We do not adopt out of the state of Oklahoma and prefer to adopt in the greater Tulsa area.

We require a vet reference if have pets, one relative (if have) and one or two friend/boss references. Cannot have dog door

Contract states that adopted cat will be kept inside at all times.

Each cat that is admitted into StreetCats has a comprehensive physical exam by a veterinarian. This "13-point" check evaluates coat & skin, eyes, ears, nose & throat, teeth & gums, legs & paws, heart, abdomen, lungs, intestinal tract, urinary tract, weight and diet evaluation. If any problems are found, they are treated before the kitty is put on our adoption list. In addition, the cats are tested for Feline Leukemia Virus and FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus). A stool sample is checked for intestinal parasites and the kitty is dewormed. A flea treatment (Revolution) is applied and vaccinations are given. After a cat has been evaluated and determined to be in good health then a spay/neuter is performed. Surgery is done in a sterile environment with constant monitoring during anesthesia and recovery. All of these services are valued at $300. This does not include any additional treatment if a medical problem is found! StreetCats is committed to adopting out healthy, loving cats for an affordable adoption fee. We rely on our donations to help cover the medical costs on our kitties. We want to provide the best care possible to these "cats in need." After all, they repay us many times over with lots of purrrrrs and unconditional love! You really get your money's worth for a $75 adoption fee! For two kitties, the adoption fee is only $135. We also offer $65 adoption fee for a Senior Discount. Senior discount for 2 cats is $120

Our StreetCats are housed in our Adoption Center at 3105 S. Winston Ave. (1 block west of 31st & Yale) in Tulsa The Adoption Center and gift Boutique are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10:30 - 5:00. The proceeds from the Boutique are all directly applied to the adoption program. Our Adoption Center and Boutique is run completely by volunteers adn we exist by donations only.
We also have a spay/neuter/rabies vaccination $25 voucher progam for homeless cats on the street. Call 918-298-0104 for more info.

StreetCats, Inc is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to shelter cats that have been abandoned or lost and to find new homes for them. The cats that we take in are adoptable cats only. We are a society that does not place a time limit on a healthy cat's life; we keep them until a home is found. Our cats come from a variety of situations. Sometimes relocation or a change in family structure forces someone to find a new home for his or her cat. Many times the situation is beyond their control, and the decision is a difficult one. We help by acting as a transition home for the cat until a new one can be found.
