Sophia and Louise came to us via the rabbit meat trade, and although they've taken a little time adjusting, they are really enjoying the transition into normal bunny life. Similarly to some of our other bonded bunny pairs, these girls are really reliant on each other. Their foster mom has shared that they "love each other endlessly and are always snuggled up together".
The girls can still be a little shy with new people, but you can easily win them both over with treats. The crinkling from the bag is enough to send them running over. Which is by far another favorite pastime of theirs, running around together. After having been confined to a crate prior to coming to us, the girls are thoroughly enjoying their new found freedom.
Sophia and Louise would love to find a home together as they continue to adjust to home life. It has been very rewarding for all involved to see them get more comfortable and watch as their unique personalities have began to emerge. If you might be interested in giving these girls their much deserved happy ending, please don't hesitate to complete an application at rbari.org/smalls. Primary Color: Black Age: 2yrs 8mths 3wks

More about this shelter
Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.
To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
