My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB 25-Apr-2024

Merlin & Jerry are being fostered at one of Toronto Cat Rescue’s pet store partner locations. Please note that if you’re approved to adopt, you’ll need to pick them up from the store within 24 hours of being approved.

Meet Merlin (or just Mer to his friends)!

Hi there! I'm Merlin, but my pals call me Mer. I'm an energetic kitty with a curious nature and a zest for life. Together with my big brother Jerry (Jer for short), we're searching for a forever home where we can share countless adventures and cuddles! We can’t wait to bring double the love into your life!

I embody all the playful and adorable traits you’d expect from a kitty. I get the zoomies several times a day, zipping around with Jer, with endless energy, and I absolutely love my little fluffy ball toys and catnip delights—they're just too much fun!

While I'm always up for meeting new friends, I'm usually too busy exploring and playing to settle down for cuddles or to be held. However, once we bond, and if you happen to be napping, don’t be surprised if I decide it’s the perfect time to curl up with you or close by—on my terms, of course.

My foster mom says I have the cutest turned-up nose, and I’ve been told I’m quite the handsome fellow. Eating is a favorite pastime of mine, and like my brother Jer, I’ve developed a refined taste for fresh water from a fountain—it's just so refreshing!

Car rides? Not really my thing. But once I'm out of that travel cage, I’ll show my gratitude with purrs and perhaps a little kiss to say thanks for bearing with me.

Jer and I have been through so much together. We dream of finding a home where we can grow old together, continuing our antics and charming our new family. We both have a cute habit of blepping—just a little bit of tongue peeking out when we're relaxed or deep in thought. It's guaranteed to make you swoon!

Thank you for considering adding us to your family. We promise to fill your home with joy, mischief, and plenty of love!

With purrs and playfulness,
Merlin (and Jer too!)

Thank you for giving two best friends a loving home together! Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair is $175 per cat, versus our standard fee of $225 per adult cat.
