Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello! My name is Cleopatra! I am not sure if that name really suits me. I am a happy girl and I don’t think that I am all that “regal.” I am also a lot friendlier than my namesake Cleopatra. However, maybe beauty is one thing we have in common since everyone agrees I am very beautiful both inside and out!
I have come to MaxFund because my person lost both his job and his home and could no longer look after me. I am a German Shepherd mix and 7 years young! I love walks and I am very well behaved on a leash – I turn frequently to make sure that you are OK or in case you need something. I always want to please you, which is probably another trait that I do not share with Cleopatra!
Until I get to know people, I am generally more relaxed with women than men. Sometimes I am a little shy but I warm up quickly and I am naturally very affectionate. I have been teased by children in the past and would be a better match for a family with older teenagers or only adults. I get along with cats. I also get along with friendly dogs outside my home but it would be best if I were the only dog in my family. I tend to hunt mice. I am very curious about fish (it’s weird how they wiggle under water) and birds (similarly strange that they have feathers and can fly) and I wonder if they should be chased too.
I am housetrained and I have used a dog door successfully. I can also be trusted in the house not to chew anything (with age comes wisdom!). I travel well in the car and enjoy going on outings with my family. I am a little frightened of bikes, skateboards and roller blades. Although I am definitely not “a digger” in the yard, I do like to dig a small “den” for myself where I can feel safe.
If you are looking for an impeccably behaved, low maintenance dog who is affectionate and very sweet – how about getting to know me a bit better? I am sure we will be glad you did!
