Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Imagine the soft weight of a gentle heart resting beside you. This is Romeo, a Siamese Seal Point who carries a story as deep as his soulful eyes. He is calm, quiet, and so full of love, yet life hasn’t always shown him the same kindness.
Not long ago, a cat resembling Romeo met a heartbreaking fate, a tragedy that shook us deeply. It was then that Romeo appeared, as if sent by fate itself, needing someone to fight for him. Determined not to let history repeat itself, we stepped in to protect this beautiful soul. Now neutered, vaccinated, and safe, Romeo waits for the chapter he deserves—a life of warmth, care, and belonging.
He’s more than just a cat; he’s a survivor, a symbol of hope, and a source of quiet comfort. Will you open your heart and home to this extraordinary boy? Romeo is ready to write his happy ending—with you in a quiet home, without other cats, dogs, or kids.
The adoption fee of $200 is a donation to our rescue. Manatee, Hillsborough, Sarasota, and Pinellas counties only. Please apply to adopt him online at https://www.duetteanimalrescueteam.org/online-adoption-application. Thank you for caring.

More about this rescue
We founded the Duette Animal Rescue Team (DART) in 2020 in Manatee County. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. We learned about the plight for exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. By working with a network of zo's, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters,
DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care. We catch cats to assist with the management of stray cat overpopulation in the community. We rehabilitate the cats so that we can put them up for adoption and have a better quality of life. For example, cat litter box training and socialization.
