My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

June is a 4-year-old foxhound mix who loves being part of a family. Every day is her best day ever, and she loves to check in with her humans to make sure they’re having just as much fun as she is. She’s happy-go-lucky, sweet as can be, and full of life and love. She likes all things play — tug, fetch, wrestling, zooming around the backyard, swimming, sniffing games — as well as napping in the sun and spending quiet evenings under the covers. June will charm you with her contagious smile and quirky “yoga poses” whenever she’s excited. She’s incredibly expressive — you’ll never have to guess what she’s thinking because you can see it on her face. She’s incredibly intelligent and communicates her wants and needs well. She learns new commands quickly and loves to please, which has made training a breeze. She’s happiest when on walks, meeting new people, and being loved on in any capacity, whether it's belly rubs, kisses, or praise.

More about this rescue

Formed in 2008, Cinderella Pet Rescue was established to rescue animals from abuse, neglect and abandonment and to help prepare the for adoption. Additionally CPR promotes spay/neuter to reduce the serious homeless pet crisis in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas. An all volunteer organization, there are normally between 55 and 65 dogs at our no-kill shelter as well as a couple dozen cats. Even more pets are placed in foster homes in preparation for adoption. Not funded by anyone, Cinderella Pet Rescue counts on donations and fundraisers to support the needs of the animals in care, from food to veterinary treatment. More volunteers and foster homes are always needed.
