Meet Brenna – Our Sweet Survivor and Cuddle Queen
Brenna is a 1½-year-old female Boerboel with a heart as big as her paws. When she first arrived, she was heartbreakingly emaciated—only 77 pounds—after being starved by her former family. But with love, care, and plenty of good food, this beautiful girl now weighs a healthy 119 pounds and has a clean bill of health! Despite everything she's been through, Brenna is one of the most loving souls you’ll ever meet. She's a total cuddle bug who adores people, melts into affection, and brings so much joy to every space she’s in. Her gentle, affectionate nature makes her amazing with children, and she gets along great with other dogs. Brenna can be a little shy around men who approach her too quickly—understandable, given her past—but give her a calm introduction, and she’ll be your best friend in no time. She sleeps in bed with her people, loves being part of the family, and lives every day with quiet strength and grace. And that little tongue that hangs out? It's the result of a neurological condition that four different vets have evaluated. The verdict is unanimous: it’s harmless, can’t be treated, and it doesn’t bother her one bit. She eats like a champ and lives life to the fullest. Brenna is truly a gentle giant with the sweetest soul. She’s not just a dog—she’s a survivor, a snuggler, and a symbol of resilience and love.
