My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Elliot!

A regal twelve-year-old Turkish Angora from Edmond, OK, whose soft orange fur and bright green eyes give him the air of a dreamy feline poet—quite fitting for a cat named after T.S. Eliot himself.

Elliot is the epitome of feline elegance with just the right touch of mystery. With his long, luxurious coat that feels like snuggling a warm teddy bear, this gentleman cat brings a sense of calm and quiet companionship to any space he graces. He’s a master at finding the highest spots in the house—whether it’s the top of a kitchen cabinet or a tucked-away corner of the closet, Elliot loves observing the world from above like the distinguished cat he is.

Though he’s independent and quite content to spend his days napping in soft shadows, Elliot absolutely knows how to melt hearts when the mood strikes. Don’t be surprised if you find him curled up in your lap, stealing cuddles with the subtle confidence of someone who knows he’s irresistible! He's the kind of cat who prefers to come to you when he’s ready, and once he does, you’ll discover a gentle, affectionate companion who quietly brightens your day.

Elliot is not a fan of other cats and thrives best in a peaceful, quiet home—he’s been used to the soft hum of a calm environment and would do wonderfully with someone who understands feline behavior and is patient enough to let him warm up at his own pace. Once he trusts you, you’ll have a loyal companion who will reward you with tender moments, head bumps, and maybe a few laughs as you discover he hides in the same few “secret” spots every time.

This sweet boy is neutered and up to date on vaccinations. And yes—he adores those fancy sliceable cat treats, so keep a stash handy if you want to win his heart a little faster!

Are you the quiet, cat-savvy soul ready to share your space with a shy sweetheart who loves to perch high and nap hard? If so, reach out to adopt@joyfulpets.com and let Elliot’s next chapter begin with you!
