Flower (5 months old)
Flower is mostly white with a few gray blotches and a white-tipped gray tail. While Flower is her name, perhaps she should be called Imp or Mayhem. This little cat is full of big contradictions! She’s always trying to tell you something, and, in fact, her little pink mouth is open most of the time. At times the voice is light and sweet, and at others it is decidedly cranky. She loves to touch you and will drape herself over your arm, or she will put her paws up around your shoulder, chattering all the while. And just when she’s being the most loveable, she will hiss at the same time as she is purring. While Flower craves attention from humans, she also loves to play with toys. Her version of playing is serious business indeed: she chases the wand toy, hissing and snarling all the time, and then grabs the toy and tries to run off with it. A human who could offer Flower regular play sessions would be ideal. Flower is at the age when she will ultimately bond very closely with a person who understands her sprightly behavior. She needs a patient owner who will not try to force her to meet other animals if she is not ready. She really doesn’t think she should share her space with others; she might be best as an only cat, or she could mellow out a bit as she gets older. If you would like a very active and chatty kitty who sometimes wakes up on the wrong side of the bed, Flower might be for you. Sometimes the quirky ones are real gems. I should know--I adopted a spunky tiny monster of a kitten, and now I just can’t imagine my life without her. Older considerate children only.
