My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Thumper: The Lovable, Affectionate Foodie You’ve Been Waiting For

At just 10 months old, Thumper is already a professional snuggler and full-time attention seeker — and trust us, you’ll be his favorite person once you give him a little love! Thumper is the kind of cat who won’t just ask for affection — he’ll climb up your legs to get it, practically saying, “I need ALL of your love, right now, please.”

His love for people is matched only by his passion for food. Whether it’s treats, meals, or the faintest scent of something delicious, Thumper will be your number one fan at mealtime. He’s not shy about showing his excitement either — his joy is contagious!

Thumper is also a big fan of his fellow cats and would love to have a feline friend to share his world with. He’s playful, friendly, and always ready to snuggle up with another cat when the fun is over.

If you’re looking for a kitty who will greet you with endless affection, love to share your snacks (whether you want him to or not), and be your loyal companion in all things, Thumper is the one. He’s ready to make your home his forever!More information? Call Marion Area Humane Society at 740-389-6548 or email at manager@mahspets.org

More about this shelter

Marion Area Humane Society is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 under ORC 1717. We strive to educate, assist and protect the animals of the Marion area. Since 1986 have operated a shelter to provide a humane environment for homeless animals. In 2011 several generous donors and grants made it possible for a shelter renovation and addition of a separate intake section. MAHS operates a open-admissions shelter with a guilt and fee free surrender policy, to encourage owners who can not properly care or maintain proper living conditions for their pets to do the best thing for the pet. MAHS also provides humane investigations and a spay/neuter voucher program for Marion county.
